Terms of service

Last updated: September 2026

Co-Plot is an AI narrative studio for novelists, operated by Yaniv Hadad (“we”, “us”). These terms govern your use of Co-Plot at co-plot.app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms, our Privacy policy and our Refund policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

Co-Plot helps you organize and develop a work of fiction — a codex of characters and locations, a dual-axis timeline, AI entity extraction, in-character chat, story-development suggestions and inline prose assist. The AI features are assistive tools: their output is generated automatically, may be inaccurate or inconsistent, and is not professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing anything you rely on or publish.

Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use Co-Plot.
  • You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for keeping that account secure and for all activity under your Co-Plot account.
  • Accounts are for a single person. Do not share your account or let others use it.

Your content and ownership

You own everything you create in Co-Plot — your manuscripts, characters, locations, notes and every word of your story. We claim no ownership of your content.

  • You grant us only the limited licence needed to operate the service for you: to store your content and to send the parts you choose to our AI provider so we can generate the results you ask for.
  • We never sell your content, and we never use it to train AI models — yours or anyone else’s.
  • You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to it. Please keep your own backups of anything important.

Acceptable use

When using Co-Plot, you agree not to:

  • Upload or generate content that is illegal, infringes someone else’s rights, or violates their privacy.
  • Attempt to break, overload, probe, reverse-engineer or scrape the service, or circumvent its limits or security.
  • Resell the service, share your account, or use it on behalf of others without our permission.
  • Use the service’s output to build or train a competing product or model.

AI features and credits

AI actions — entity extraction, in-character chat, story development and inline prose assist — consume credits from your balance. Credit costs and your balance are shown in the app. AI output is generated automatically and is not guaranteed to be accurate, original or suitable for any purpose, and it is not legal, professional or other advice. Always review it before you use it.

Plans, billing and payments

  • Plans, prices and credit amounts are shown in the app and may change from time to time; we will give notice of changes before they take effect.
  • Payments are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles the transaction and applicable taxes, and Paddle’s own buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
  • Paid plans are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel. Top-up credit packs are one-time purchases.
  • Refunds are governed by our Refund policy.

Cancellation and termination

You can cancel a subscription at any time from the billing portal; see the Refund policy for what happens to the current period and your remaining credits. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that we are required to act on by law. When your account ends, your right to use the service stops and your data is handled as described in the Privacy policy.

Third-party services

Co-Plot relies on third parties to run: Google (sign-in), Anthropic (AI processing), Paddle (payments) and Railway (hosting). Your use of the service also depends on those providers, and we are not responsible for their acts, outages or terms.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI output will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost content or profits — so please keep your own backups of your writing. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page, and we will notify you of material changes. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and any dispute will be handled by the competent courts of Israel. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
