Coplot is an AI narrative studio for novelists. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
Information we collect
- Google account details: name, email address and profile picture — to sign you in.
- Content you create: projects, characters, locations, scenes, documents and timeline — stored in our database.
- Usage data: basic technical information such as access times and browser type.
How we use your information
- Providing the service: storing your projects and displaying them in the interface.
- AI extraction: when you run extraction, the text is sent to Anthropic (Claude) to identify characters and locations. The text is not retained by Anthropic after processing.
- Improving the service: analyzing general usage patterns to improve performance and experience.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your information. We share information only with the following providers to run the service:
- Google — identity verification (OAuth).
- Anthropic — processing text for entity extraction.
- Railway — hosting our servers and database.
Storage and data security
Your information is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database. All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to the database is restricted and monitored.
Your rights
- View all of your information through the interface.
- Delete projects, characters, locations and documents at any time.
- Request full deletion of your account and data — contact us at the email below.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies to manage your session. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
